Maintenance methods for patterned conveyor belts

Compared with regular conveyor belts, patterned conveyor belts have uneven patterns on the surface in order to match the conveying angle and prevent material from sliding. Therefore, more attention should be paid to maintenance and upkeep.

Like regular conveyor belts, patterned conveyor belts should be protected from sunlight and rain during transportation and storage, and should not come into contact with acidic, alkaline, or oily materials. The surface should be kept clean and should not come into contact with hot objects.

During the process of conveying materials with a conveyor belt, the feeder should follow the running direction of the patterned conveyor belt to reduce the distance of material falling. By using a chute, the impact of material falling on the conveyor belt can be greatly reduced. Shorten the spacing between the rollers in the receiving section or use buffering rollers, and use soft and comfortable material blocking plates to avoid scratching the conveyor belt surface due to the hard material blocking plate.

When the patterned conveyor belt is stored in the warehouse, the temperature should be maintained between -15-40 degrees Celsius and the humidity should be maintained between 50% -80%. The storage of patterned conveyor belts must be placed in rolls and cannot be folded. During idle periods, they should be flipped once a quarter to reduce the wear and tear of the conveyor belt.

The operating speed of the conveyor belt should not exceed 2.5 meters per second. Materials with large block size and high wear should be transported at low speeds using fixed unloading devices as much as possible.
